Today at the Prime Minister’s Office I received the “Kimono Queens of Tokyo.” The Office brightened up as if it were an early New Year’s Day.

A person in textile wholesaling commented, “We need not only to promote kimono and other traditional Japanese clothing but also to maintain the traditional textiles of textile-producing districts.” I would like to lend my encouragement to efforts by people in the field to support Japan’s traditional kimono culture.
