Despite a confidentiality clause, a Surat businessmen even put up a poster outside his office revealing the amount he had declared – until he was asked to take it down from Income tax authorities, Indian Express reported. 

Diamond merchant and realtor group Suvidha Enterprise showed off their recently declared incomes with banners outside a project site. They reportedly took it down after pressure from the I-T department.

Realty firm Kakadia group’s owner Manhar Kakadia told The Indian Express that he was proud of his disclosure, and has advised his friends to also actively participated in the Income Declaration scheme. Many other businessmen also came forward todeclare their unaccounted money to the media
