Plants afoot to make Somasila Project a Tourist Spot: CM
After releasing water from Somasila Dam to Kandaleru Reservoir yesterday, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu said the Somasila project would be developed into a tourism spot with package to visit the Somasila dam, Penchala Kona (waterfalls) Mypadu beach, Kandaleru (reservoir). This, he said, will become a tourism circuit.
During a review meeting, he also review the pending barrage works on Penna and Sangam and assured farmers that water would be supplied to 16 lakh acres for irrigation needs in Nellore district. On the sidelines, he also added that the government is now preparing itself to work on Krishna-Penna river linking.
