PRESIDENT OF INDIA’S MESSAGE ON THE EVE OF INDEPENDENCE DAY OF PHILIPPINES

The President of India, Shri Pranab Mukherjee has extended his greetings and felicitations to the Government and people of the Republic of the Philippines on the eve of their Independence Day (June 12, 2016).

In a message to His Excellency Mr. Benigno S. Aquino III, the President of the Republic of the Philippines, the President has said, “On behalf of the Government, the people of India and on my own behalf, it is with great pleasure that I extend warm greetings and good wishes on the occasion of the Independence Day of the Republic of the Philippines.

India and the Philippines share warm and friendly relations. I am pleased to note the strengthening of our cooperation, both bilaterally and in multilateral fora. I am confident that the close ties of friendship and understanding between our two peoples will be further strengthened in the years to come.
