Swarna Bharat Trust has presented Rs. 25000 for each war disabled and 10160 for each of freedom fighters. 13 prominent Poets and writer from 13 districts have recited songs for need for social harmony unity and integrity's of the nation. Hundreds of students participated from various schools participated. Original copy of Constitution of India was displayed with charma symbolically to remind spirit of Swadeshi movement. Sri Naidu said there is a need for another quit India movement.
QUIT POVERTY: Poverty has to be completely eradicated from the country for India to take its rightful place in the comity of the nations. Providing education to all, creating employment, combining development with welfare measures are all part of the larger ‘Quit Poverty” campaign and every Indian should supplement the efforts of the government in this regard. Antodaya is the way forward
QUIT CASTEISM: The biggest social evil that every Indian should pledge to quit is casteism. For the nation to achieve faster progress on all fronts, every section of the society irrespective of caste, creed, religion and region should be part of the growth story. All Indians should believe only in oneness of the country and nothing else should be allowed to cause obstacles in India’s march ahead.
QUIT DISCRIMINATION: People should also take a pledge that they will not allow discrimination in the name of caste, religion or region. Every Indian citizen is equal and there is no room for anybody to discriminate against another individual. It goes without saying that education and removing illiteracy will go a long way in enlightening the people and creating necessary awareness against all types of social evils.
QUIT ILLITERACY: This again should become cornerstone of individuals, families, society and of course every government as no country can achieve the desired levels of progress if a vast segment of people remain unlettered.
QUITINSANITATION: Cleanliness and sanitation should become the credo to live by and not mere platitudes as the ultimate goal are not only Swachh Bharat but Shresta Bharat.
QUIT DISUNITY: The country must stand united not only against terrorist-related challenges but also against all social and economic barriers to make India a leading global power in the world.
QUIT DISHARMONY: The Civil Society and People at large should strive to foster harmony and build bridges across the communities irrespective of religions or regions.
END URBAN-RURAL DIVIDE: India lives in its villages are the famous word of the Father of the Nation. The time has come for developing villages into units of prosperity by providing all the facilities available in urban areas on the lines of what former President A P J Abdul Kalam had conceptualized “PURA”-Providing Urban Amenities to Rural Areas.
QUIT TERRORISM
QUIT ANTI – NATIONALS
QUIT DIVISIVENESS
QUIT ANTI – NATIONALS
QUIT DIVISIVENESS
While embracing new technologies for advancement of the people and society at large, one should not ignore the many plundered rich cultural diversity, customs, traditions, practices, value systems and the distilled wisdom that have been handed over by our forefathers and stood the test of time.
The ‘Swarajya’ achieved by our freedom fighters would have no meaning unless it culminates in providing “Su-rajya’. All-round development is the key for this to be achieved—and hence the mantra of the Modi Government is ‘development, development and development’. Every Indian should unite in this noble mission to take India to dizzying heights in all fields and make it a global power, even as it remains a model, peace-loving nation.
Apart from rekindling the spirit of patriotism in every Indian, the purpose of Azaadi-70 celebrations is to ensure an outlook that respects all religions and cultures. The time has come to rededicate oneself to the cause of country’s unity and integrity, while celebrating its pluralistic diversity. What better occasion than the country’s 70th Independence Day to celebrate the glorious past and plan for an egalitarian future?
