BALIJA Bandhu Mithra
Kaiwara Thathaiah
The saint called Narayanappa or popularly known as Kaivara Thatayya in Kannada & Telugu. He lived here during the last half of eighteenth century and first half of nineteenth century. Thatayya was a bilingual poet. Narayanappa has written number of prophecies about forthcoming events Kaala Jnana. He has also written Keertanas (poems in praise of the Lord in different forms) in praise of Amara Narayanaswamy, the incarnation of Lord Vishnu, both in Kannada and Telugu languages.
Kaiwara is the place where Sadguru Sri Yogi Narayanyathindra Tatayya incarnated for the welfare of humanity; hence this village of Kaiwara has become famous as the land which gave birth to great enlightened soul. Famous through the millennia, in Kaliyuga, Kaiwara Kshetra has emerged as the meditative place of Sri Yogi Narayana Yathindra. Born some 25 years back in this Kshetra, the Yathindra meditated for long in a cave, was enlightened and came to be a godman. Sri Yathindra lived upto 110 years. Sri Yogi Narayana Yathindra wrote several books on spirituality and philosophy and composed many devotional songs. The Marriage Mantaps have come up in Kaiwara are a result of his teachings. There is no discrimination of caste and creed here. Every year 3-4000 marriages take place in this Kshetra.
As Lord Indra was installed in his own hands, it came to be known by the worthy name of Amara Narayana Swami. Sadguru Sri Yogi Narayanyathindra Tatayya has hailed Kaiwara as the ‘Heaven of Kaliyuga'.
Five projects are continuously in practice here:
Free meals: Free food is served to all devotees who visit this Kshetra. It is called Sri Yathindra Dining Hall.
Free mass marriages: In fulfillment of Sri Yathindra's preaching every year in the months of June and December 300 free mass marriages are arranged by way of Guru Kanika.
Sadhu Sangama: Kashaya Vastradana: In this Kshetra Sri Yathindra used to look upon saints and sages with great respect. At ‘Sadhu Sangama', which is a programme organized as a tribute to him, 5-6 noble saints and sages are honoured by providing them with Kashaya Vastra and Pooja materials.
Patronage for Talent: Under this scheme students of the colleges of Kolar district who have passed with first class in PUC, BA, BSc and B.Comexaminations are felicitated with a specified scholarship amount.
Muthaide Bhagya Seve: Sri Yathindra considered women as the incarnation of Adi Shakti and bestowed them with great respect. Their family occupation of bangle making is in itself a form of worship for them. In his eyes women were the backbone of society. Hence every year in the month of Palguna, in the week previous to Ugadi, more than 5000 married women are honoured by providing them with sarees, blouse and Mangaladravya under the Muthaide Bhagya Seva scheme. Bangles are also distributed free.
